Wheat meat

Stop eating animals.

Here is a super duper easy & delish meat recipe.

i use a rice cooker for this..

1 1/2 cups of broth ( any, as long as no one got murdered to flavor it)

fresh garlic grated or pressed, or, use garlic powder…no biggie

2 tbsp. Vegetable oil

1 1/2 cups vital wheat gluten

1/4 cup chickpea/garbanzo bean flour

1/4 cup nutritional yeast

liquid smoke (optional)

braggs aminos/soy sauce/tamari (optional…just adds depth of flavor)

dried mushroom (I use shittake…mushrooms are mineral rich-yum)

-dry/dry-wet/wet-

seasoning to go into the dry mix can vary any ol way your heart desires…

i vary with sage, fennel, celery seed…

spike, sea cabbage, kelp

Poultry seasoning, onion powder, cumin

turmeric for color…but not too much, or it will have too mealy a flavor.

-mix dry, then add most of liquid, stir, then use your ape hands & beat the dough like it owes you money. (About 1-2 minutes…ya just need/knead to get that gluten going)

then, I pop it into my rice steamer basket (I don’t wrap it in aluminum…you can, if you’re a control freak and want a specific shape…I’m a free range wheat meat kinda girl)

set the rice steamer to 26 minutes steam, then, when that sucker beeps, turn it off and let the meat passively cook for another 5 minutes, or…I just let it cool in there.

 

so, there ya have it. Some goddamn meat. You can eat it right outta the rice cooker, or, you could fry it until browned, you could bake it, etc.

get your ass in the kitchen.
